Delicious Chinese food, favorite Chinese food! Their hot and sour soup is the best! Every dish is excellent

I was looking for some Chinese and on the strength of a recommendation from a friend, I tried Mr. Wok. The wanton soup was fair. Although there was some pork in the soup, the wantons were dense and dough-forward. The egg roll was better. The Hunan Beef was just average, with the beef doughy and the sauce very sweet. My wife got the chicken teriyaki rolls and they were great; Stuffed with avocado, cucumber and chicken. Equally good were my daughter's avocado rolls, though it's difficult to mess those up. All in all, a place I will try again!

Food is authentic- real chinese- old school Great service- very few of these places left You wont be disappointed- It is very good Prices are fair and quality is excellent

The food was Good but pricey better than tea garden . And nice place to Sit down and eat. Only ordered Chinese takeout boneless ribs, veg fried rice, and scallion cakes or wings sorry no pics but the food was good. $$$only cause the amount of boneless ribs we got were was far less than others in the area.

Mr Wok is my go to guy since I've moved up here all those years ago. Never went home dissatisfied and always a smile on my face. Thanks Mr Wok

They screwed up my initial order but fixed it so I give them props. My wife just wanted stir fry vegetables but they didn't have something like this so I ordered fried rice with veg and paid like 2x extra. Didn't have hardly any but they made it right and delivered to my housem. I originally picked it up. So I give them props for doing the right thing and customer service. 5 stars. TY

I just wanted to add a note here. Out of curiousity, I look at profiles of 'reviewers' who give one or two stars to a place we love. Oddly, or not so oddly, these 'reviewers' pan every place they go, or mostly every place they go -- and find pleasure in complaining about anything and everything. Tread carefully when deciding where to eat. Some of these rabid complainers rant just to read their remarks in print.

I've been going to Mr Wok on\off for over 20 years and it has always been consistently great gourmet food. This BYOB has plenty of reserved street parking. It is located on the 2nd floor. I saw a solo person elevator and assume it works. Staff is very authentic and very courteous. Although it is basically Chinese, it also offers limited Thai and Japanese ( including sushi\ maki rolls. I go for the Chinese since we are all surrounded by those fast-food style Chinese places that all serve the same food. ( although the Mr Wok roll is very good. Here, everything is house made and authentic. Prepare yourself for the most amazing vegetable, shrimp, pork, or beef egg rolls. Excellent lo mein and fried rice ( with the egg in it!). Main courses such as Grand Marnier jumbo shrimp with candied walnuts in a glaze sauce with the fresh, greenest steamed broccoli Garlic chicken to make you stop eating and think, why am I eating that "meh" food at the fast food places. Shrimp and chicken with mango in a light sauce is another favorite there. Large portions so it's common to have extra to take home. If you want to really get acquainted with delicious Chinese food without going to Chinatown in NYC, then you should really start here. Prices are very fair for this quality of food and the portions. Highly recommended !!

It is so hard these days to find a good Chinese-Japanese-sushi spot and this it one of the few! The chicken wonton soup was absolutely delish. I usually don't drink the broth because it looks like dish water but I tried this one and it was AMAZING. I drank and ate the whole thing and I wish I bought another! Chicken lo mein was great. The chicken tasted like actual chicken. It was tender juicy and went perfectly with the noodles. It was super filling. I wasn't able to finish it all and I'm happy to have more for lunch the next day. The prices weren't bad especially for the portion size Overall, this was an amazing place and I would definitely order from here again!
